Work created during Honolulu Museum of Art’s biennial Artists of Hawaii is on display starting July 2. Artists of Hawaii 2015 showcases the work of seven artists and one art collective — which were selected from a pool of about 250 applications.

“We ended up with eight artists whom we feel represent a good combination of range of media, techniques, and visions. The final selection includes some known artists, as well as some who are relatively new on the scene,” states contemporary art curator James Jensen on the Hono- lulu Museum of Art website.

Artists include Alison Beste (photography), Elisa Chang (photography), Jesse Houlding (drawing and mixed media) Akira Iha (painting), Emily McIlroy (drawing and painting), Lauren Trangmar (digital printing and sculpture), Maile Yawata (ceramic sculpture and mixed-media). It also features the work of printmaking collective .5ppi.

Artists of Hawaii 2015 will be on display through Oct. 25.
