According to Bar Leather Apron owner Justin Park, the bourbon used for this drink was made specifically to create an Old Fashioned. It was hand-selected by Justin and Bar Leather Apron’s co-owner Tom Park (no relation) for the Leather Soul brand. According to Justin, an Old Fashioned is a good introduction into cocktails, and when made correctly, it is one of the best to have.

Bar Leather Apron, which opened earlier this month, is designed as a collection of different concepts that Justin has experienced throughout the world during his bartending career. He felt that Hawaii was missing out on the idea of having a refi ned cocktail experience — and Bar Leather Apron, he says, offers exactly that.
