Bread+Butter presents its lamb chops like a work of art — supple chops nestled amidst a forest of arugula and figs, scattered among little dark nubs of gnocchi, all aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and the tongue. The dish is meant to share, but it probably could serve one comfortably, if we’re being quite honest. Luckily, Bread+Butter’s real specialty is, of course, its bread. Order the Homemade Foccacia Bread to get a hearty serving of fresh bread, garnished with garlic, herbs and olive oil. You don’t even need cheese (though you can order fondue with your focaccia, if you like).

Who knew black garlic oil was a thing? Or that it could taste so darn good? This uber-rich ramen takes creamy tonkotsu broth a step further with this extra ingredient, pushing a simple bowl of noodles right over the edge of decadence. It was good, but we felt like we had to go run three miles to burn it off afterward. The only way to really up the ante would be to make it with cheese. Except wait, AGU Ramen does in AGU’s Savory Parmesan. Or you could get the Bari Kote — which adds garlic butter to the mix. (Those who don’t wish to overindulge should note that AGU does offer a lighter, vegetarian ramen option, so it isn’t all party-hardy over here.)
