Make The Most Of Your New Year’s Toast

There’s nothing I love more than popping champagne to celebrate – holidays, birthdays, promotions, Sunday … Anything is fair game for a good bottle of bubbly! I’ve even thought about whether we might be able to build a home bar for social occasions or, you know, just as somewhere to relax and unwind after a particularly long day. If, like me, this is something you are thinking about, you could check this post out about what this entails so you’ll have a clearer idea of whether it’s even possible for you.

Now, New Year makes for a great reason to celebrate. The year has passed and has brought on a new opportunity to set the bar higher than before. It is also a time when you can feel free to cut loose and party. Of course, there are bound to be drinks available where you’re at, so, you’re free to take your pick. But you’d also want to brace yourself for the hangover you might have the next day. This is where Adultalyte can come in handy; it has a composition that is designed to provide you with fast hangover relief. This can be especially useful if the place you go to does not serve breakfast which will make you feel better.

Anyway, back to the bubbly! Nothing is more synonymous with champagne than a New Year’s Eve toast, but sometimes the crowds can kill a good buzz. So, if you don’t want to leave your house this year, or if you have a house party to attend, grab a bottle (or two) of your favourite bubbly. Since almost everything is now available online, you can also order liquor online and opt to get alcohol delivery in Westminster CO, or elsewhere. This is a good option for people who don’t want to get out of bed to do any kind of work. Well! For them, it’s a vacation and only a vacation!

Of course, the setting is going to be different if it is an intimate gathering with friends or family in your home. There would likely be spirits and beers on the ready for everyone to choose from. But you might have invitees who abstain from or do not drink alcohol. So, you could pick up some non-alcoholic Niasca Portofino aperitif or some ginger ale for them to join in on the fun as well.

Still, I’ve got three recipes for the ones who would love to experiment with the drinks and help themselves ring in 2016. Start in the morning with a POG Mimosa, relax in the afternoon with a Pineapple Bellini, toast dinner with a Bubbly Blood Orange and party into the night with a glass straight up!

Metro-122515-Barkeep

POG Mimosa
4 oz. champagne
2 oz. POG juice

Pour the champagne into your glass. Top with POG.

Pineapple Bellini

6 oz. champagne
2 oz. pineapple puree

1. Pour the pineapple pure into your glass.
2. Top with champagne and mix with a stirrer.

Bubbly Blood Orange

1 blood orange, juiced
1 oz. pineapple juice
1 oz. vodka
3 oz. champagne

1. Fill glass tumbler with crushed ice.
2. In a shaker, combine blood orange juice, pineapple juice and vodka.
3. Shake well and pour over ice.
4. Top with champagne.

After all of that, you might be feeling a little sluggish the next day. To ease your Jan. 1 hangover, try this:

Hanson Hangover Heal

8 oz. water
1 lime, peeled
1 pear, diced

1/2 apple, cored and peeled
1/2 cup spinach
1/2 cup ice fresh mint (optional)

1. Add all ingredients to a blender.
2. Blend on high until ingredients are mixed in and the smoothie is a liquid consistency.

Cheers to 2016!
