For more than 30 years, Peter Read Miller has captured athletes and the sports world through his lens. He currently is a staff photographer for Sports Illustrated, and his portraits of athletes have included Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal and Kathy Ireland. From 7 to 9 p.m., Miller shows images from his career, discusses techniques and shares tips in a free public talk. It may not be Angus Young in the flesh, but you’ll never be able to tell when AC/DC tribute band Back in Black makes a stop in Honolulu. The night will presumably include songs like It’s a Long Way To the Top, Thunderstruck and, of course, Back in Black. Special guest Kings of Spade also performs. THROUGH THE DARKNESS
AT HONOLULU MUSEUM OF ART

Nightscapes from Japanese artists Saito Kiyoshi and Kawase Hasui are on display starting today through Jan. 18. Though they were very different artists, both often gravitated toward nighttime scenes. The exhibit explores the tension between the two, as well as their common ground. Also included in this display of printmaking are works by ceramic artist Shimaoka Tatsuzo. honolulumuseum.org

Sign up for this all-day yoga festival that brings together Hawaii’s top instructors, local DJs and musicians. SUP yoga and outrigger canoe classes also take place during the day, and “GLOWFLOW” invites participants to learn under black lights. An afterparty takes place at Addiction Nightclub.
